Kathryn Wall Sets Example of Giving
Kathryn Wall, a retired teacher, was selected to receive the Legacy Award for establishing a Charitable Gift Annuity.
It is the first Gift Annuity created through the McCook Community Foundation.
A Charitable Gift Annuity is a contract between the donor and the Nebraska Community Foundation.
According to Doug Skiles, a CPA who is a member of the McCook Community Foundation fund advisory board, the Charitable Gift Annuity provides an income tax deduction and a Nebraska Income Tax Credit.
“The income from the gift gives me peace of mind, “ Kathryn said. “I hope others consider doing the same thing.”
